Lazio coach Edy Reja says he was delighted with the Biancocelesti claiming a much-needed 1-0 win over Zurich in the Europa League on Thursday evening. A solitary goal from Cristian Brocchi just after the hour mark was enough to claim maximum points, and move the Aquile into second place in Group D. "This victory was from the heart. In the second half, we had some good chances to make it 2-0, and had we been more aware, we would have closed the match out sooner," Reja told Mediaset Premium after the match. "Instead, we had to suffer. "The performance was positive on the whole, except for the first part of the game, when they were doing well. With the introduction of Brocchi and [Djibril] Cisse, the match changed complexion." Reja admits his next match will be crucial if his side wish to progress further in the tournament, as they take on Romanian outfit FC Vaslui. "We will be focused and attentive," continued the coach. "It will not be easy, but we must travel there to win." Lazio face Parma this weekend in the Serie A. |
