OFFICIAL: Juventus sign former AC Milan maestro Andrea Pirlo

Juventus have finally announced the signing of Andrea Pirlo as a free agent, on a three year contract that is set to expire in June 2014.

Pirlo waved goodbye to Milan just a few days ago, a club that he spent a memorable 10 seasons with, however today’s announcement officially marks the beginning of a new adventure for the 2006 World Cup winning midfielder.

“Andrea Pirlo is now officially a Juventus player. The club has reached an agreement with the midfielder,” a club statement on their official website read.

“The contract signed is from July 1, 2011, until June 30, 2014.

“This morning, Andrea Pirlo underwent the usual medical check-up for Juventus. The midfielder underwent tests and analyses at Fornaca di Sessant clinic, Isokinetic centre and Sports Medicine Centre in Torino.”

Juventus becomes the fourth club of Pirlo’s professional career, having had brief spells with both Brescia and Inter, prior to joining the Rossoneri back in 2001.
