Perth Glory host Brisbane Roar tonight at nib Stadium and both sides are going to have to make changes because of injuries. For Perth, Shane Smeltz is still out with an ankle injury, while Liam Miller is out with a hamstring injury which Miller picked up against Newcastle last week in which he came off early. "Liam will miss and so will Smeltzy. Liam is probably another week behind and Smeltzy is still feeling it a bit," coach Ian Ferguson said. Ferguson however is hopeful that both players will be back for next week’s clash with Adelaide United. Thomas Broich for Brisbane has been ruled out too with a shoulder injury which he picked up against Melbourne Victory last week. "Hopefully (he's only out for one-match). But last time I said one game he ended up missing six or seven. I have no idea about these things ... hopefully he'll be back next week," coach Ange Postecoglou said. Massimo Murdocca is set to miss too for their birth of his first child. This is what Postecoglou had to say about Murdocca: "(With Massimo) we've just got to wait and see. I haven't heard anything yet. The most important thing is everything goes well and they're all well and happy." Glory coach Ferguson though believes Brisbane are still a good team and have other good players with Broich missing. "They're not just a one-man band, they are a good team and they have got good players," he said. "It's not just Broich, you've got [Mitch] Nichols and [Besart] Berisha there too." |
